12 Hours of Sebring is the second race of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup. The race takes place on Sebring International Speedway’s 3.74 mi (6.02km) track in Sebring, FL and lasts 12 hours. REBELLION Racing competed in the 12 Hours of Sebring from 2011 to 2013, and secured 3rd place overall in 2013 for the last participation of the LMP1 cars in the event.
The 2017 edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring marks the events 65th running at Sebring International Raceway. It is the second round and second longest race of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup. This race has long been seen as good preparation for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as the track’s extremely bumpy surface and south-central Florida’s hot weather serve as the perfect test of the car’s reliability. Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup points are awarded at 4 hours, 8 hours and the finish of the race.
This first meeting of the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2019 was difficult for the Team REBELLION Racing with an abandon for the R-13 N. 1 car and a podium lost by the N. 3 crew one hour from the checkered flag.
Head to Florida for the first race of the FIA WEC Super Season in 2019.
Mathias Beche will exceptionally replace André Lotterer at the wheel of the REBELLION R-13 N. 1 next March.
